turn signal problem

hey guys,
this site has been super helpful working on my 7mge 87 supra
soon to be turbo
but this problem just came up today and i needed help.
every time i put on my left blinker you can hear it but on the dash the arrow doesnt come on and it takes my battery volts from 14v to 12v and like everything dims on and off. and when i put on my right blinker everything is ok.
what could be the problem?

have you looked at your blinkers to make sure they are all blinking on the outside of the car?

I'd check them to see if they blink, then hit the emergency flashers and see how that does.

I'm not sure I know what the problem is, if a bulb is out the circuit is cut and it makes the signal relay clicking faster, but the dash light still lights up. Not sure about the volts reading. is the car running when you are testing this?
