Well i finally got my supra running. Took 6 monthes waiting on parts, but she is/was running. Coming home from work the other day and every time i started boosting the oil pressure started to drop. so it is time for a new turbo. i have been looking at the sp61gt and the gt35/40r. the gt35 sounds more appealing b/c of the dual ball bearings instead of the normal bearing. just wondering what you guys think about it. and which one you would prefer. i know the gt35 will be more $$ but i think it would be better in the long run. i also know i will have to get a new down pipe, but i would like to keep it internally wastegated.

engine upgrades include:
freshly rebuilt engine .040
mhg
550's, lexus afm, walbro fuel pump, and afpr
defcon downpipe and full 3"exhaust, no-cat
k&n intake kit
hard pipe kit and hks blow off valve
still stock intercooler fro now soon to be upgraded
maft coming soon

thanks danny

After seeing a friend go from an SP73 to a SP63 to an SP58GT to a GT3540 I would highly recommend the GT3540. The GT3540 makes all the SP turbo's feel like lag monsters...they do not stop pulling unlike the SP's which you can feel run out of steam...actually I only noticed this after going in the car when he installed the GT...the acceleration is just stupid...total overkill IMHO.

The difference between the SP58GT and the GT3540 was like night and day...I personally WILL NOT go back in that car anymore...it's just too violent.

Have you checked out our new BOSS turbo line? At least check them out, we can get them in pretty much any configuration and they are made from cast stainless steel. All of our are internally wastegated.
Here's the link
