I whent to the junk yard today and saw this tranny on a supra...Looked just like a normal junk yard tranny.

No big noticeable cracks or anything. The guy wanted 250 bucks for it. On May 6th theres a deal they are having that all you can carry that day will be $50.

How do I tell what kind of transmission it is? Is there plates stating if its a NA or T Version?

And theres an LSD on that Car too that I want to take, How do you remove differentials? I dont know how to do that.

ok well, for one, a tranny weighs 140 lbs, so "carry" is not a great option. If you have a haynes manual, they have pics of the 2 diff tranny's, im not sure how to tell though.

the diff, it pretty easy. just watch out for it falling lol it hurts, trust me. take off driveshaft. then there are two bolts in front, and i think 4 in the back. I could be wrong. you also have to disconect the half axles(the hardest part just because its a pain in the ass) but its really not that hard to do.

you can carry the tranny out. Don't care if it's 140lbs. For $50 I'd carry two of them at once. The R154 has a pull type clutch fork, so look for that, plus two big side inspection plates.

You can check the plate on the door and see what kind of tranny its got - thats if its the original tranny that came with it.

R154 with no fluid is just 100lbs IIRC... with fluid add a couple lbs but still nowhere near 140.
