turbo spins, but doesnt make any power

like the title says. it spools up around 3k rpm and it doesnt pull any harder somtimes i think i hit fuel cut at high rpm. it cuts out for a second and the cel comes on for a sec. i pulled the engine out of a turbo car rebuilt it an put it in a NA car is there anything that could have happend because it pulled great before i pulled it outta the turbo car, it would break the tires loose in 3rd gear when it spooled up.

we should sticky a thread that says boost leak symptoms- Check here before posting problems.
- Black smoke under load
- Loss of power when boost usually kicks in
- Hissing sound when you should be boosting
- Turbo spins but no boost
- car studders under acceleration
- Hits fuel cut pre-maturely

I see a boost leak diag post like every day

Boost leak if the check engine light comes on and he hits fuel cut.

thanks for the help. ill buy new ic pipes and see if that fixes it.

Woah there, new IC pipes are pricy. Either get/build a boost leak tester (pvc plug the size of IC pipe w/ air nozzle, like a leakdown test for your IC pipes)

Or spray the pipes with Carb Cleaner, if it increases rpm's, you found the leak.

Figure out where the leak is before you start throwing parts at it!

I suppose you could make this a good excuse to convert to 2.5" Hardpipes instead
