so now that my car is finally going, very very fast, i noticed that i was getting a lot of compressor surge. i bought a new stock air bypass valve (BOV), and am going to atmosphere now. i still hear a little tiny bit of surge but now that ive opened it up, and really punched it, (dont worry its already broke in) i started hearing a screeching sound on the dump when letting off gas, AND at max boost SOMETIMES. not sure what to do and what it is.

If the turbo is going bad, whats the best turbo to get that is gonna last me. and no i dont want to push a lot of boost. like 14 to 16 which i hear the ct26 can run

are you sure the screeching is from the turbo? that is weird maybe something is rubbing in the turbo? which cant be good but with the ct 14psi is max benefical boost anything above that i hear is blowing heat.
i recommend the garret gt35r dont personall have one(because of pathetic budget) but i plan on geting one, and you can always trust a garret lol. just my .02 cents

Pull off the intake and grab onto the shaft. If theres lots of play up down or side to side its the turbo.

Cheapest route is to upgrade to a 57 or 60 trim CT26. 57 trim being the most reliable.

For starters, don't vent a stock BPV, it leaks (intentionally).

Second, no way to really know what it is without hearing it. Could be anything from a boost leak, exhaust leak, turbo dying, etc...

i heard the same exact sound your hearing sounds like a messed up pig, pull your intake off and stick your phone down there and take a picture bet you 10 bucks itll look like this

i sincerely hope that is not the case because this means your turbo is done. But check the shaft play when you get the afm if it has alot it most likely hit a fin or two in the turbo. My turbo looked like that due to lack of oil ruining the seals.
