So I am getting a 1JZ motor and I’m gonna put a custom built divorced down pipe on. But this will ruin my turbos. Does anyone know of or know where I can get the turbos either rebuilt or reinforced with steel?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section I figured its part of the motor swap I’m doing.

Thanks

why would it ruin the turbo's?

unless they are just in bad shape or your running the boost too high on them, i wouldnt see them blowing just from having a different downpipe put on

also, for the amount of money to rebuild them or upgrade them, youd have spent more than you would have to go single turbo

no they are not in bad shape. its just with what it'll be boosting i either have to reinforce the turbos which might be the better of the two options or replace/rebuild them when they get blown lol. as for going single turbo that might be a option too. gonna have to ponder that one now.

I don't wantto go single I wanna replace the ceramic blades with steel and a twin divorced set up will prob put boost around 15 or 16 that's more the. The ceramic blades will hold I want the stock twins cause I want to keep it as stock looking as possible everyone goes single no one has a divorced pipe for twins I want to stand on my own not with everyone else that's all. I hope this makes more sense I don't want to go single sorry
