factory toyota has what you need. I bought them there. Fix it once, fix it right. That's not the place to take short cuts. IMHO

Completly agree with this, I think that is where my oil leak came from which then caused my spun bearing :(

NEVER EVER USE SILICONE WHEN YOUR MESSING WITH THE OIL SYSTEM OR GALLIES. if you get a chunk in yuor system bye bye bearings.

also this may suond ghetto, but a cereral box will work in a pinch.

Matter of fact, take that oil return line, put it in a vice (gently) and flat file the sealing surfaces and you're golden.

Oil return gasket, triangle gasket on head, water gasket on front plate, EGR gasket on manifold are just some gaskets everyone should keep as spares.

the oil gasket for turbo drain is $2 at toyota.

I have one, How bad do you want it?

Not ghetto at all. Make those surfaces flat, I flat filed most of the sealing surfaces on my engine. You would be surprised how much they are off. They are always high at the mounting points. The result: A bone dry motor. That is very important.Don't over torque the fasteners.Take you're time and make a nice gasket. There are many household items that can be used to punch a gasket out.Empty shell casings work well for the bolt holes. Please make sure they are empty or you won't have to worry about making gaskets. I prefer cheerio's and rice chex boxes myself but others will work also.:icon_bigg

what is the world coming to. Spend $2 and get the proper gasket from Toyota before you start a oil fire in the car.

Whats next? Using rubber band to hold the wastegate flapper shut so you can get more boost?

If this post is directed to me, it's apparent you have not read my posts on this subject. See first post, please.

Man, I gotta look into that. I can get free rubber bands from where I work! What works best, the red ones or the brown?
