Ok, just put a new ct 26 on my 90'. First time I've done a turbo removal/install. (yes I did all of the priming) After idling for 5min checking for leaks I found it leaking oil out of the oil pipe where it comes off the turbo. It had a new gasket on it. It was torqued per tsrm. Should I still use some permatex or something like it to seal it better? The tsrm doesnt call for it. It was leaking pretty bad. I removed the turbo to repair. I also ordered a softline kit. If anything the softline is bound to make the install a little easier and flow better I hope. any thoughts?

comes off the turbo from the top? or the bottom? the top is the feed line, the bottom one is the return, the soft line kit will be easier for you its well worth it. I personally never used it but i ordered one on accident lol so i can promise the quality is good, that is if your talking about suprasport's soft line kit.

did you check both of the mating surfaces for any debris or old gasket?
you used the right bolts... right? a bolt to long could be your issue.
there wasnt any cracks on the hard lines?
if it was your feed i'd recommend checking your turbo's specs to make sure nothing was damaged.
if it was your return you should be safe but i'd check your oil levels again :p and make sure you clean up as much of the oil off the manifold as possible.

also if possible get a picture

Everything that comes off the turbo and Block with a gasket, needs to be cleaned off with a razorblade, sandpaper etc. Any little piece will make it leak, the softline kit will make it easier to put on, but just dont throw it on because it will still leak due to old gasket material. As long as you get that old melted gasket material off you shouldn't have an issue.
