For any aftermarket turbo I guess its a good idea to run a restrictor plate, especially when running higher oil pressure at the motor. Its suppose to lower the risk of flooded oil seals and also decrease spool time!! Has anyone elce herd of this? I just got my kit, I knew it was gonna restrict but damn lol I cant even get a spin thru it!! attached, pix of the inlet and the outlet into the turbo seems rather small

geez. that is quite small.....i can't imagine that will allow for enough flow @ all. ATP has a few restrictors, looks to be a .060" hole for T series and .035" hole for GT series:

Allright thx, its not too bad because im running very high oil pressure anyway (around 80 PSI at high rpm) I guess its also suppose to help with turbo spool, anyone elce hear that? If so how much of a difference is it suppose to make?

I have the same function 7 fitting.

In the papers with the fitting, they mention if you need more, you can open up the hole to a larger diameter... But don't go too large, you will get quite a bit of oil squirting right onto the turbo shaft with this setup if your running high oil pressure like I am in my MK3.

I come from a land down under
Won't affect spool at all.....

Later model GT BB turbo's have 1mm/ 0.040" restrictions built in.
-3 hose should be all the restriction needed for a non BB turbo any more than that you run the risk of touching a shaft under boost as the bearing floats on Oil in the houshing and the shaft floats in the bearing.

I read somewhere that Corky bell's book states that with the restrictor plate in the turbo spools faster
