I don't know if this question is answer from the old forum or not but how much oil does the turbo usually consume? After I do an oil change with 4 quartz, I have to put in an additional bottle every 500 miles or so to keep the oil level up. And I gotta change oil every 2000 miles or so b/c it all black at that mark, and this is with the refill.

how many miles on your motor?

What Oil are you using? 10w30? 15w50? ect ect

is it leaking or burning?

Whats your compression?

I would have a good look to see if you are leaking from aged seals and or gaskets.
Then give your motor a good check up to see if the compression is correct, and keep an eye out for smole durring start up or during boost.
I a perfect situation you should not loose any oil, My motor lost very little if any.

But please dont go adding a very thick oil or additive to remedy this situation. Do what I stated above and give us the results and we will help you from there.

Good Luck,

have a buddy follow you from behind with an eye on your tail pipe.

boost, deccelerate hard, accelerate hard, rev it in neutral. have him look for blue smoke coming out the back.

Spec is 5 quarts! I put AT LEAST 5 quarts in at an oil change, most times I put in 6 quarts. But to answer your question it depends on how worn out your turbo is as to how much oil it will consume.
