car doesn't smoke on idle, normal driving, slight boost (before the wastegate opens and becomes noisy; BIC DDP).

On HARD acceleration but not all the way to redline, the car just stinks bad. Probably because i yanked out the A/C and all the plumbing so there is a huge hole in the firewall right by the downpipe.

on FULL THROTTLE TO REDLINE, the car stinks and smokes. Doesn't smoke too bad, not nearly as much as when the car had a BHG.

I don't think it's BHG. Oil is clean, coolant is clean, resevoir doesn't go down. HOWEVER i do sometimes hear the waterfall noise. I had the HG replaced almost 4 years ago with a new OEM one and ARPs. Plus i know what a BHG can do because i bought the car with one.

It sounds like a turbo problem to me, and i think i helped speed up its death. my turbo timer broke a couple months ago so i've been lazy. Didn't want to wait in the car and time down the minutes until i can shut the car off. Oops. So i haven't really been keeping good care of it, and i'm sure this is the outcome with blown turbo seals???

I'd vote turbo. If you want to be sure, do a compression test. If you're still not sure, pull the turbo and look for oil in the elbow. Mine was leaking so much, it sat in the bottom of the turbo manifold.. no oil was comming from the runners.

When you say it smokes.. I mean is it a puff, or is it just a hugeee white cloud? They say if its oil from the combustion chamber it burns blue, if its from the turbo its white. You didn't really specify what color it was, but it sounds like the turbo to me.

it's definetly a puff because sometimes you have to wait for all the oil to burn off and then exit the exhaust. As for color it's hard to tell because i'm always driving the car. I should probably get a buddy to drive it and i'll trail behind to look.

Not tryin to hijack the thread but I too had smoke sometimes. I'm now pulling my motor for a rebuild. anyway when I pulled the IC piping off the bottom of the turbo, oil literally poured out from the piping, there was also oil right in front of the compressor wheel
