I had my recirc ddp installed today, and the shop did not reinstall my stock turbo heat shield. Should I reinstall these, or am I ok without them?

Thanks.

Ben

One other thing to look at...make sure the speedo cable is well clear of your new DP. That is unless you want it to melt ;)

The heat shield probably can...just make sure anything that can melt is well away from the DP. Especially the speedo cable like I said.

^^^what he said.

After making one of the first aftermarket DP's (eliminated the elbow too) for stock turbos back in '02 i had made the mistake of not tieing away my speedo cable. on the way to a meet, i noticed a burning smell. noticed the speedo stopped working and immdiatly pulled over and popped the hood. Speedo line was on fire and smoke everywhere. not one of my proud moments but deffinetly one to remmeber. ;)
