octane booster = waste of money.

stuff says it raises your octane level up 7 points, or whatever. yeah, more like .7 points. run premium 93 add that crap and you'll get 93.7 octane. wooooooooo!!!11!11!!!11!

yea, if you read the fine print, it says, .7 points. and the reason your friend says it will eat your fuel lines is because it does....kinda. It probably contains some methanol, which is very corrosive. that is why, ..or maybe it's a lot of ethanol .....i'm not sure, i don't use it. But using it once won't do anything bad to the lines. but really, probably won't do any good for your performance though. Search about toulene, or xylene, that's some good stuff right there, like, 115 octane or something, unleaded.... available at paint stores...yea, fun.

I ran touline in my 02' civic Si at the dragstrip about 1.5 years ago...it made the car seriously wake up. It was a 1/8th mile track....I ran a 9.8 with just intake and exhaust and some toulene ( line?).....ran right beside a buddies brand new 04' S2000....alot of people were dumbfounded I could shift that quick and let alone run with an s2k...being a little 160+ hp hatch.

I ran some octane booster ( 2 bottles) in half a tank 3 days ago....it really did help on performance on hot days. The butt dyno really is sensitive...on my boney butt hehehe

Though, dont run Toulene from the paint can things at Home Depot....its really a paint thinner.....a friend in his 240sx ( previous to the SR swap) ran it and it clogged up his fuel filter/pump in his fuel tank....his pump started whining the following day and when he took it out...his tank was filled with this geletin like substance.....really weird.

Use Toulene in SMALL amounts...he litterally ran like a 40% mix in his gas tank....he didnt care, he already had the SR to plop in and wanted to see if he could blow his KA up.....it never hickuped....LOL

PS: so If I went to the oil place in my town ( where they sell 100-110 octane) Could I litterally pour it in like a 25/75 or even a 50/50 mix of 93 octane and 110???

I have never heard of higher octane gasoline corroding fuel lines, though I know that the denatured acohol can and also methynol....those are ALCOHOLS....
