Tuning questions

well i have my afpr set at 32psi @ idle, 38 static, and then what ever boost brings it too,

my wide band is only reading in the 5volt reading on the maft pro for some reason, it's not showing up as afr (just shows 0 ) and o2 is reading in a 0-5v reading and it's a bitch to try to tune while the number's are jumping all over the place, i do know that 2.5v is 14.7 though,


for one reason or another my car has a miss,

i did a leakage test, and here's the results

1-10% 2-8% 3-10% 4-10% 5-9% 6-8%
that would be percent loss of 100psi so the rings and valve are sealing rather well ,


i changed down pipe's and no longer have a stock o2 sensor on the car, how do i mimick the stock one with my wide band? i need to get the ecu working part throttle so i can drive around out of boost and my mileage and engine wont suffer..

im going to flash my maft pro with the 4.8 when i get home.

im stumped.
the car has an irratic idle, die's on me at times. is being a real pain in my ass.

i dont notice the cf ever changing from 100

i'll think of more on the way home...

i thought the lc-1 had 2 outputs. and you could set one up for narrowband and one for wideband? you 'might' be able to mimick the stock o2 with that other output for the ecu.

burn i started flashing the maft pro to 4.80 and my laptop sucks and keeps blue screening, im now back in my brother's car till i get that flashed..


i did notice the car runs great when i disconnect the maft pro.. so it's all in tunning and settings.

still has a miss though,

Some asshats are just here to get the highest post count. Any ways, Jim you might need to ask Jason to borrow his lap top and see if that will do it any better than Dad's. I noticed when there was a load on your trans your car would run like shit. Aka: If I had it in Drive, it would want to die like crazy and surge like mad, throw it in Neutral and it held a steady 1k idle and ran fine.

be sure you have the wb hooked up correctly. if you dont do the grounds right it wont work right. also be sure you have the right wb selected in the mpro setup.

cf will stay at 100 btw.

well jay wont let me use his laptop joe, so maybe you can pressuede him???

all i need to do is flash the unit..

you could even do it when you get him, the key is on my mouse pad..

whats wrong with your laptop? i could possably fix it up for ya.... if not and you still need to flash it, i got a good buddy with a laptop and im sure he will let us use it to flash her.

Well, my dads laptop is slow, and my dad kinda ruins computers from downloading so much crap. It just wont do shit except go on the internet *barley*..

Jim, Jason said you could use his laptop tomorrow when he's at home. So I am guessing between 12-5 when you get off from school and before u go to work.

well here it goes it took me a week to get my brother to let me use his laptop to flash the unit to 4.8,
here's some details, im running speed density, 32psi fp at idle, 40-vac line off]

i have an afpr , lc-1 reading 14.ish while idling, i have a miss. which i belive is a bad coil, or dirty coil connectin, im gona swap out the coil soon and hope it fixed it. i have new plug's aswell and i made the wire's myself,

the car is lean spiking, i keep adding fuel tring to get it into acceptle ranges,

the whole time i sat here typing ths in my car the car has idle around 14.7 goling both leaner and richer.

i do not have the stock o2 hooked up, and i was having problems using the lm programer to programe the lc-1 to have a 0-5v out point on analog brown wire..

well hopefully in the morning i can get the lc-1 to work with my laptop, and i can set up the analog out2 for the ecu narrow band..

do i just set it up so 0 is rich and 5v is lean and 2.5 is in the center of the graph?

ps, i like in 4.8 how you can get to the system setup and config table's with out holding any buttons down and you can just toggle through them like normal menu's.

well i just played with her some more, and out of almost a mistake, but i was looking through the setup menu and noticed the ve table-1 and changed it to 2, car is actualy tunable now, (well atleast it seems)
