well, with the maftpro running now i'm hitting fuelcut around 10psi. (sp61gt)
right now i can't monitor AFR's cause i don't have my lm-1 hooked up. tommorow i will be putting that in.

how am i going to be able to run 25+psi. can someone give me the info on tuning out fuelcut

grim how do reduce the ammount of airflow the ecu sees. also does this apply for speed-density

If I'm not mistaken, the MAFT converter isn't speed-density. It simple converts the readings from a GM MAF to a Karmen Vortex reading.

hes using the maft PRO...which is the newer BETTER version ;) it acts kinda like the MAPECU and changes the system to speed densty and utilizes a map sensor...

Oh, I missed that part. How does it change it though? In order for it to be a true Speed Density system, you'd have to change the ECU. I still think it's a converter. I guess I'm wrong, but I'm used to it.

What's the skinny on it?

Basically this is up to your tuning device... Just like with the original MAFT and its dials or the SAFC2's corrections, the MAFT Pro can "trick" the ecu into thinking theres more or less air coming in than there really is. Wait until you have the wideband hooked up so you know whats going on, I'm sure you'll be able to hit high psi numbers once you can monitor your A/F's and adjust accordingly!

in a sense it is still a converter...BUT theres no incoming signal from a afm or maf... its brought from a map which in turn i would assume gets translated by the device into karmen for the ecu...

BUT it will run just like a mapped car...which is awesome...

Yes but fuel cut is still very much there!

lol well with tuning it wont be....and frankly i like that fact that it doesnt just eliminate it all together...still makes you get bigger injectors and a proper tuning device etc.... thumbs up from me...

Good luck with the tuning and let us know the outcome.

If this unit proves to work out well, I may have to sell my HKS electronics for one of these units. I'd love to have my glove box again. :icon_razz
