Tuning a lex afm, 255 pump and 440cc's

Hey everybody I am relativly new here but hopefully I will be posting alot more, I just am finishing up my complete rebuild of my 91 7mgte and had a quick question.

I am running out of money and have a lex afm and walbro 255 fuel pump and dont have enough to get the 550cc's which would complete the popular upgrade. I also have an afpr.

I was wondering if anybody had tuned out the lex afm and 255 fuel pump and gotten alot of gain or gotten much past fuel cut with this upgrade or if I should keep the stock afm and pump on there till I get enough money for the 550's?

You should wait.

If you don't have enough for 550's you don't have enough for anything that *might* allow you to tune a lex afm and 440's safely.

Obviously, there is no problem installing the AFPR and pump right away.

i dont see a WB02 in there so no, you should not do it. my brother dyno'd his car with just the afm swap and the car was very lean.

save up the cash and do it right the first time

I agree here. I have the Lexus AFM and the 550cc injectors. I would not have used the Lexus AFM without the larger injectors. Running lean is a recipe for destroying engines. Much more expensive than a set of injectors.

Ok thanks for that, I was really concerned about it leaning out so I will stick with just putting in the fuel pump and the afpr for now.
