For the guys that have a JDM 2jzgte on mk3s(from jdm supras, aristos, soarers)
We all know there are some differences...
But I heard that to transform the 280 hp jdm 2jzgte into 320 hp USDM
you just have to get the USDM 540cc low imped. injectors (jdm are 440 high imped.),the usdm camshafts with inlet cam duration 233 deg. over the jdm
224 deg. & inlet cam lift 8.25mm over 7.8mm that jdm has.And last to get
the US spec TCCS ECU because of the altered mapping cause of the bigger
injectors & the much more agressive cams!

ARE ALL OF THE ABOVE TRUE , that's what I've heard.....

If it's true...I'll get HKS 264 cams & gears,and some ND 540 cc injectors
for future high hp investment!
Now,the ECU thing...will a US spec ecu work on a JDM engine wiring?

You are free to write your thoughts, and better for the ones who really know
what is going on....just make your statement!

it would be better to keep the jdm ecu, it's using MAP instead of MAF. so that pretty much takes the cake. i swapped in USDM injectors, i had to also wire in the 7M resistor pack, but ran great. monitored the AFR and everything was performing as good as i had hoped.

the turbos are different too, but most people that do the swap just go single anyway, most, myself included don't want to mess up the firewall.

i know i was pushing well over 300rwhp, at least very close to 400, with all stock jdm internals. i wouldn't waste the money on usdm cams, you'll get plenty of power with a good fuel system and turbo.

yea, dont worry about the US ecu. You could put one in, but you would have to get a MAF sensor to put in as well (and rewire a few peices). But the JDM ecu will work fine with a piggy back and will still make great power

titan motorsports sells stock usdm cams if you really want em.

and 2jzgte didnt come with soarer. soarer had 1jzgte 1uzfe and 2jzge.

and the altezza came with a 3S engine vs the is300's 2jzge :)

The Aristo has the 2jz-gte and ur wrong the US IS300 had the 2jz-ge now maybe the JDM IS300 had the 1jz that im not sure of.

I heard about the 'firewall' thing...I should hummer it a little bit,but
why? 1JZGTE had almost the same size twin turbo setup...:icon_surp

I should fire the 2jzgte engine in about 1 month...
It is the jdm 280 hp . But I have allready a 3 inch full exhaust
(blitz cat back, test pipe, downpipe),Big core IC (70x30x7cm) with hard pipes,
2.5' to IC & 3.0' to Throttle body,Blitz dual air filters,HKS racing type II bov,
lightweight Jun flywheel,ACT clutch kit,AVC-R,S-AFC,Blitz DTTC,walbro pump.

What hp can I make with the stock twins and stock fuel?
I think I need the Greddy BCC to boost 17-18 psi...I will buy it soon!

I'm guessing because of the size and placement of the turbos including the piping.

The altezza came with a either a 1G-FE, 3S-GE or 2JZ-GE if memory serves. I'm pretty sure the 1JZGE wasn't used in them

not true, the 1jz turbo's have a three bold flange and the JDM 2jz turbo have aswell, slightly larger but three bolds. the export (euro/USDM) are four bold flange, so is doesnt fit. and the 2jz are larger then de 1jz, not much.. but bigger!! :)

and for the banging-up the firewall, the 1jz turbo piping is smaller in diameter then the 2jz, you'll need about 1.5 inches of space, so bang the firewall :evil2: i did...
