:1zhelp: Ok guys (and girls) I have a quick question! Dont call me stupid but......

I have a 7mge with a manual transmission. Now i want to swap a 7mgte into her. Do i have to swap tranny's with the motor? I know its probably a stupid question. But i really do not know!

I am planning on doing the same thing with dropping a 7mgte into my current N/A, I know that the clutch assemblies are different between the N/A and Turbo. Will they bolt right up or will there have to be any modifications when putting the w58 on the 7mgte?

Use your stock GE flywheel and clutch assy's and all will be fine.
Jake brings up another aspect of the W58/Gte hybrid I forgot to mention, there aren't a lot of choices in NA clutches if you're going to try and crank the power up.

Stock to maybe 10 psi they handle okish anything over you might have problems, but usually by that time the W58 is 1 hard launch away from oblivion ;)!

IMO go with the r154... better ratios for higher power and it will handle it better... I've had both in my supras and I like the r154... also I'd change out your rear diff... you don't have to but you'll get better gas mileage... I still have an NA rear diff in my car and on the highway with an r154 and the na diff I'm sittin at about 3.4k-4k just cruisin... it sux... but the na rear diff is fun for quick road runs...

I have a new OEM GE clutch in my NA-T and it will slip with just 7-8 psi in 3rd 4th and 5th. The W58 will NOT limit you on power as much as popular misconception tells you it will. Dr. Jonez ran 300+ RWHP on it reliable for almost a year then cranked it up to 450ish RWHP and it held (momentarily, and then exploded).
