Tranny Problem

I have a problem that I was wondering if anyone else has had. I have a 87 Supra
7MGTE 5sp with R-154 and my tranny wants to pop out of first gear some of the time. It feels as if it is going all the way into gear when it happens. Also it only happens when putting it into first from a dead stop, downshifting into first is not a problem. It usually happens after backing up and then going to first or if I am parked and then try to put it in first to take off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :aigo:

Mine did that 2 weeks before it blew up (literally). Rebuild that mofo right now, while your car is still able to drive.

You can try some good tranny fluid, like Redline MTL, if you don't already have it, at best you'll extend your driving time a little. Unfortunately you're going to need a tranny rebuild sooner or later.
