Err... you put the clutch on the tranny before you lift it up into place. Then slide it into place, bolt up the bell housing to the block, and reach through the inspection plates to put in the six bolts holding the pressure plate to the flywheel.

:werd: the just get a buddy to help. get an extera jack to hold the tranny and use another to tip the motor down, helps alot. and using a center pounch through the holes in the bellhousing to the mounts on the motor helps align the input onto the pilot bearing. good luck.
if you are using the w58 tranny then after you have installed your clutch and clutch cover, while trying to slide in the shaft have a friend put a wrench on the crank and rotate it back and forth to get the splines to line up.
