tranny issue

(Auto Tranny) at just above idle, in first gear only, when i take off the car vibrates a little then stops at like 2500 and doesnt do it at all, through any other gears...until i stop and take off in first again. The transmission shifts smooth and strong through all gears, with zero slippage. Shifts into drive soutly and reverse as well, no hesitation at all. Just wondering why it only does it at above idle when taking off?

Any ideas? rear end?

Torque converter? I have no idea, just my thoughts...

Dad's truck had a torque converter going out, but it would only shake when you were doing like 60-65 and kept the speed constant......

Could the idle be set too low?

no the idles fine, and actually i was leaning towards it being a torque converter, so that makes me think
