I was wondering on how to compare between the many different transmission coolers. And what are some you guys recommend and some that you dont recommend. One i have been looking at is the B&M

You don't really need to get a HUGE one. I put one on mine. I researched it out for a while first. I went with one that is like 5"x12"x3/4". But...it has those 'swirls-the-oil' inside the tubes.

This one... http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...atalogId=10002&storeId=10001&categoryId=26787

part #400-3810

I made a mount from some angle metal w/holes in it from the hardware store. I put it out in front of the a/c condensor about 6-8", and down low so the air coming in from the grill would hit it.

I tied into the hose on the driver's side, then back into the radiator.

I run my oil into it first to take some heat off the radiator coolant, thus the engine.

But if you can fit a larger one go with it unless you live in an area where it gets really cold. Here in CA as far as tranny coolers go, the bigger the better especially on 100F days. I also always run a B&M Remote tranny filter in my automatics, then once I have used that first B&M filter, I replace it with a WIX replacment filter. Filter your tranny fluid remotely will only help live longer and be free of very fine debis which will in turn extend the life of your stock tranny filter. I even use this same filter setup on my power steering so my steering boxes, pumps, and rack assemblies live a nice long COOL life

Well here in Ohio we get some pretty decent temperatures such as in the 80's and can get down pretty low around 10 degrees

Install a large cooler & let your car warm up a little long when it get's real cold. Even when it's super cold outside, the operating temps will be well above 100 degrees.
