So as im driving home while i shift i notice its gettin harder and harder to get it in gear. I then stop at a light and when i was to push it in first it would not go in for the life of me i tried every gear then i did the old fashin blip the throttle and shift at the right rpms. The clutch was still engaginb becuase i could take off once i blipped the throttle to get it in gear so i did this all the way home and now i don't know whats wrong? any ideas

I'd check the clutch Master Cylinder for fluid.... chances are it's leaking and you'll need a new slave or MC. my 82 Does this and I still gotta put my MC in. it's not hard it's just doing it that I'm not looking forward to.

^ Try shifting into 1st before going to reverse. It'll make life easier most of the time.

I'd put money on a leaky master and / or slave cylinder.

In the shop? All you needed to change it was a 12mm socket, a ratchet, a 10mm wrench, some rags, and maybe a short extension. And a new MC, like $50, and some fluid $3 or so.

well i started it up this morning and it sounds like a knockin noise as if the clutch or flywheel was hitting the transmission but when the clutch pedal was pushed in it went away so we have narrow it down to the t.o.b or the clutch was not torqued down to the specific torque.
