TPS Question

I plan to buy a new throttle position sensor for my 89 NA. One of the plastic elliptical holes broke where you screw it onto the throttle body and it moves around somewhat. Here is what I would like to know. When I buy it, do I just screw it on right out of the box or does it need to be "callibrated" or something? I would think it would be shipped with the correct resistances and all but hey, you never know. Anyone out there want to tackle this one for me?

Yes, the TPS does have to be calibrated. It's not a matter of it not being calibrated from the factory, it has to be aligned to the signal matches the position of the throttle plate, hence the eliptical mounting holes. It's not difficult.
