tps problems

my car idles at 1k and sometimes higher. i have about 1200 on the new motor with arp studs and hks mhg. i tried testing the tps with the method found on here and i get nothing. im not reading any resistance between any terminals at any throttle position. now i would assume that even if it was bad i would get some readings out of it, or would i?

Unless the ECU is getting an IDL signal from the TPS, it will not go into idle rpm mode....you should be throwing a code 51.

Idle speed for the 7M-GE should be 700 rpm...AC, headlights off.

My car almost always idles at or around 1k. Part of it depends on if you have the a/c turned on. It will kick the idle up.

yes that is the test, it idles at 1k with ac and headlights off.

Code 51 will not cause the check engine light to come on
You need to check.

well im pretty sure its toast, i treid the methow dscribed on anthore thread and no matter where i move the tps the engine light just keeps blinking the same two codes(41, and 51) it will not go to fast blink no matter where i move it. i also treid to check for continuity and no matter where the throttle is there is no
continuity between the topmost pin and any of the others. so any ideas or anyone have a good tps for sale.
