turbo 5 speed is idling crappy, im getting code 51 : the idl code, the wiring harness is new, i tested the sensor how the tsrm says, putting my feeler gauge inbetween the screw on the throttle body and the throttle body, it is off of spec, my question is, can i adjust that screw or the screw for the dashpot so the car will idle better? i adjusted the position of the sensor itself and got it to run the best it can, and it sometimes stalls when u let off the accelerator and sometimes it doesnt....should i replace or can i adjust?

The tps will usually get slow before it completely sticks open. That is usually what causes it to only give you problems sometimes, and not others. Take it off the throttle body it and make sure the wiper springs back quickly to the closed position. It can sometimes pass the electrical test but still not work correctly while driving around. If it does not move smoothly and spring back, then replace it with a new one. It is not a serviceable part, and any fix would only be temporary. It is important for gas mileage and driveability.

If you having issues idling it can very well just be the IDL contact not the TPS wiper. I would adjust it to spec and see if anything improves before completely removing it.

I re-adjusted the IDL contact per TSRM spec and found out that my base timing had been off by about 5degrees. That will certainly cause problems. With the IDL set correctly my car will now idle awesome, before I had to crank it up to 1200rpms to keep it going.
