tps adjustment questions

im adjusting my tps as we speak. im following the TSRM and im a little confused. when i sez to turn the tps with the .70 mm feeler guage in between the stop screw and the lever am i looking for the ohm meter to read 0. or should i even have the multimeter set to read resistance

yes, meter should be on K-ohms.
put the feeler gauge in whatever size it says, put the leads on the ones it says, and move the tps to get in within what is says.

in place of alligator clips to hold your meter lead tips to the tps leads, try placing short (1/4" or so) pieces of vacuum hose on the leads to hold your meter tips in place.
