toyota v8

Has anyone swapped in Toyota v8s or Toyota's larger inline 6s that are used in the Lexus lineup and pickups? Anyone know any places where I can get info on this? Yes, I did use the search button.
I'm curious because I have an NA and GTE swaps are costing a lot more these days...I've seen some cheap 1uzs and I'm sure I can find some of the other v8s or inline 6's from rebuilders or used engine places. Also I heard the 1uz is lighter then the GTE and would be fun to turbo
Is it a practical swap for MKIII's?

It requirs fabrication to install the uz engines but has been done. Also TT 1uz's have been done. 1jz and 2jz are common swaps for the mk3. I'm not sure if the 1uz is lighter but it's light, it is all aluminum.

money for the motor is one thing, money to put the motor in.... is another. Hope you gots money.. otherwise pickup a 1J or 2J around and swap that. Its easy, not as easy as an sr20 but easy.

I don't remember the exact weight, but I think it was around 2900 including gas and my scrawny 150lbs :burnout:
