So today i went to the toyota dealer. I got a quote for a full gasket set for $477.00 dollars. They quoted me 20.00 for the oil squirters. Any suggestions on where to get the parts below.

-Oil pump
-Timing belt with gear
-Oil squirters
-Full gasket set
-water pump

Please dont say dealer. I understand those parts you cant go cheap on but the prices i got today seem extremely high. Also if possible and have a little time can you tell me some prices i should expect for the parts above.

I got a quote from Jeff Watson for ~$344 for a full gasket kit. It might be worth looking into. There are most often other options though.

jeff watson from champion toyota on supraforums. I've purchased prob. $3k in new parts and have saved probably that amount versus buying them from dealerships here.

There's some guy (cnewingham) on here from southern california selling gaskets sets.
Some guys have bought from him and can vouch for him.

Here is his link in the FS section.
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40046

I bought a brand new oil pump from ebay. The pump was made by Aisin for a 7mgte.
cost me $110 + shipping.
You can buy a brand new water pump for $50.

Also check in the FS section on here.

Cheers,
Roy

Yup. Either Jeff Watson or David Garrison (my bro-in-law [psst, buy from him. He needs to put food in the fridge and keep the MK3 running cuz I think they work by commission there]) down at Champions Toyota.

i would also go with titan. i never go to the dealership if i don't have to. they think their stuff is gold. $240 for a shock, not for the pair.....for 1 shock.

WorldPac sells the O.E. manufacturer stuff (Aisin,Denso,Matsushita...etc) The exact same part, just not in a pretty Toyota box. Sometimes @ 1/3 of the price!

Well if I were you I would get

Oil pump-try ebaymotors.

Timing belt with gear- local autoparts store

Oil squirters- if you wanted to get new ones then I do not know but if you wanted used ones you can probably find some here on SM.

full gasket set-Just like AFoneJZ said check out importperformanceparts.net(pretty good prices on full gasket kits)

water pump-from a local auto part store like autozone or pepboys.

but that what I would do but wait check out this item on ebaymotors. It had pretty everything you need except the oil squirters.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=330103845952&rd=1&rd=1

Hope this hepls you out.

I sell Toyota parts at 30% discount to all forum members, just mention the forums and you're taken care of. I also have wholesale shipping prices for the lower 48 states. I can be reached at mark@vancouvertoyota.com. I've owned quite a few Supras, and enjoy talking with all the Supra brothers and sisters! Thanks for the plug Tony, how's that engine coming along?

If you walk in to your local parts counter you can expect to pay full price - since you've only been here since December 2006 I can see why you might make that mistake.

Call one of the dealers that support this community by giving discounts on parts as well as supporting those big Supra events that we all love.

Champion Toyota has been supporting this community since before many people here were even born. I got my Supra in 1996 and Jeff Watson was dishing out great prices before I even joined the list. They have also supported more Supra events than anyone else out there.

Elmhurst Toyota also gives discounts and supports many Supra events. Curt and his crew work very hard for our community.

I priced out the Accordian hose many years ago. Jeff was able to beat my local parts counter price significantly(including next day air shipping and Saturday delivery). I had the part bright and early on Saturday morning (would have had to wait until Tuesday to get the part locally.

The set off ebay suck, The oil pump is for a n/a and the timing belt doesnt even look like its for my car. Already bought and returned.

The only cheap gasket set from titan if you you read the reviews it sucks. One guy said after a month some gasket got hard cracked and leaked.
