I've been reading a lot about Torsen and LSD diffs and as far as I can see the Torsen is superior for the street(great launch and cornering, less understeer) except that it may break more easily under high torque/shock loads. Is it true the the JZ Torsens are only good up to 350-400HP? Are there any high performance aftermarket Torsen or Helical diffs that take more abuse?
Also, what needs to be done to install a JZ torsen diff into an 87-89 US model Supra? I've heard that the housing/axle stubs are different but can't find any definitive answers out there. Any feedback or experiences out there? Much appreciated!...
