Torque Converter

I just did a tranmission swap in my 89 turbo that was shot. Now everything is back together and there is a loud tapping noise coming the trans.when the car is at idle.Is there a chance the converter slipped forward during installing?
The converter also fit loose no matter how i tried to put in in.

It doesn't move on the input shaft unless you didn't bolt it to the flexplate.

2 possible scenarios

It hadn't engaged the dogs on the pump when you bolted it in and it's broken the pump

The driveplate is cracked....
