What would an aftermarket high torque converter do for my car? Real diffrence? And how hard is it to install and how much do they run for? Thanks

you could launch at a higher rpm and at higher boost. how much difference depends on how high the stall is and how well it is matched to the rest of the system. price depends on a lot of things- anywhere from $300-$1200. install is straight forward. you pull the tranny, slide the old converter off, slide the new one on.

Make sure to index the new TC on the input shaft of the transmission.

A higher stall, say on an upgrade ct turbo, will knock 3/4 to a full second off your 1/4 mile time and cut your lag time to near nothing.

There is a thread here somewhere with a guy selling them for I think either 450.00 or 550.00.
