Torque converter Removal?

As the title says....pulled my auto trans out and have a replacement but need the bell housing off the original one. Can't seem to get the torque converter off the original tranny, is there a trick to it or do I just pull/pry it out?

Am I a complete idiot? Wait...don't answer that, but what bolts? I turned the trans over and under and I haven't dealt with any other auto's that have bolts holding the torque converter onto the transmission. Please explain.

if its on the tranny just pull it on out. Ric was talking about bolts holding it to the flywheel

It should just slide off, you might have to pull and twist.

Okay, got it...buddy had a couple eye studs that we put in on either side and with my feet on the trans and a good pull it came out....looked like the splines were worn on the small shaft and it was hung up on that. Thank you for the help.
