I was under the assumption that it was around 105mph.Last night i did 110, with a little more room to go.For reference i have 4:30 gear,w-58, and stock wheels and tires.I was going to take it to the limiter but surroundings werent permiting.

Any insight is appreciated

110 in fourth with a 4.30 rearend is insane. Seems like you would be turning about 8000rpm. I could see it with the 373 gears. How many rpm were you turning?....................lol

I generally dont look down at that speed, nor do i usually go that speed.

But-

I can go well over 100 in fourth with room to go.

I have a NA w58 with 4.3 LSD

I generally dont either but i had a challenger arise, so i sped up to catch up to him, did a quick speed check seen i was going a 110, and decided not to jump lanes to follow him around some semi's and slowed back down.

I have a 4.30 rear end on my 1j and I can get to 90 in 3rd so I know 4th is good for well over 100. I have a r154 but I believe 4th gear is 1:1 for both tranny's so it doesnt matter. 110 you are gettin close to the top of 4th tho. Search online for a calculator and it will give you MPH ratings for each gear based on diff, tire height, gear, and RPM.

My 7mge will do 90 in 3rd,around 93-5ish the limiter kicks on. Ill try and find one of those caculators and see what it has to say.

I did a pull the other night in 4th, punched it, was at around 100 by 5kish. I'm sure it still had some room to go, I could see it hitting 110. BTW this was with a 4.3 rear end with a W58.

Speedo's are built optimistic. 6000 RPM in 4th with stock tire diameter and 4.30 rear is 102.57 mph.

5th is 131 at 6000 RPM.

Your speedo is off. reading fast.

4.30 rear, W58 trans, stock 225/50/16 tires.
RPM = MPH
5000 = 85.9
5500 = 94.5
6000 = 103.1
6500 = 111.7

The equasion is (tire circumfrance X eng. RPM)/(1056 X trans ratio X axle ratio) = MPH

supras came w/ 373's, they can go mugh higher than that on stock gearing

Certain supras came with 3.73.

My supra, and many N/A's came with a sport package which includes a 4.3 limites slip differential.
