im a firm believer in the the fact that some germ and bactiria exposure is a good thing as the body needs something to fight to keep the immune system up to par. but still. yuck....

Me too, it really depends on the TYPE of bacteria it was, Your mouth has more bacteria in it then toilet water (well....most), not all bacteria is bad per say, our bodies actually need certain types in order to function properly.

Bah. I refuse to worry about something that I have been eating for the last 38 years.

Maybe those places just have REALLY clean toilets.

Actually, it's not much of a stretch - lots of restaurants have automatic disinfectants added to their toilets at every flush... but you can't put that kind of stuff in the water you DRINK, so it makes sense they may be officially dirtier.

If you listen to all the warnings and crap you wont want to eat or drink anything. As long as you feel ok who cares.

Gives new meaning to the phase you have a "potty mouth".

You are on to something here. Kind of like joining the gym to keep in shape except for the Immune system. A germ gym!:evil2:

Watch mythbusters, it didn't matter if it was 1/2 a sec or 1/2 a min, it hits, they stick, eat that M&M anyway.

I also think its a bad idea the way people pop antibiotics everytime they get a little cough or sore throat, kind of the same thing, but I think people are just being pussies. G.W. took antibiotics, and we all know how that turned out.

Haha, don't remember where I read it, but clinically they say that chewing on ice is from a lack of iron or sex. :biglaugh:

I check resteraunts ice by the diamond check. If it's super clear, their ice is from a highly filtered source, if it's cloudy, then it has issues. You can test this by freezing tap water compared to bottled water. One resteraunt I go to has an excellent filtration system that I can tell by their ice and taste of the water they serve, then again they specialize in soup.

I rarely ever get ice from fast food restaurants or restaurants period. The soda that comes out is plenty cold for me. And if i ever do get ice, well, of course i chew on it. but not from a lack of sex, thats for sure. :naughty:

I have managed a common train related name food store in the past and while i ruled with an iron fist over the slack ass teens working the mop and cleaning cloth.
The post mix is property of the soda company, they are a bit slack coming out to clean it...
Most stores dont call them up to hassle them so lucky to get a scrub every 6 months, I used to attack it every month, change the nozzle and clean the ice maker but even then everytime there was some mould and the drain used to get a jello like mouldy goo that would block it up every couple of months.

yea they also did the 5 second rule on mythbusters. They tested the table, floor, shop floor, bathroom floor, and many other places. Turns out cleanest place in the house is the toilet seat.
