So i just got a clean shell, and am.wanting to hear your suggestions on what to do engine wise, i have a chance to buy a 1jz right now for about 1k, no turbos, but i have a 7mgte block and head and misc parts, the thing is I'm scared of missing the little sensors vacuum things, egr.stuff, just random misc items and I'm not sure how to go about this.. goal is 400whp, i want to get it running quickly wanting to spend 3-4k ideas? Suggestions? Would i save money going with my 7m or that 1jz? 7m is in bad shape gonna have to.machine both bottom and top and probably new pistons

Do you have everything else for the 7m. turbos, manifold, etc? Why not sit down and come up with a laundry list and costs to differentiate between the 2. If i'm in your position I'd go for with the 1jz but it's going to costs you roughly 2500 for just the harness and turbokit alone.
