i currently have 245/45/16s out back on the stock 5 star wheels. i read a quick one line on mkiiitech that you can fit 255's out back on stock sawblades (= to stock 5 stars..).

can anyone confirm this? any one run 255s on stock wheels? i know that the 245/45 yokohamas were very hard to get on the wheel.

I believe you can do it if you can find a shop to put them on... I know around here you have to know someone at the tire shop to get tires that big put on to the size of the stock wheels...

well i hear the rule is you can safely go plus 20mm over stock tire width, which is what i have on the rears now. im wondering if 5mm will make a difference in handling. itll sure help traction but maybe not enough support during cornering? im no wheel expert.

I dont think it will help at all... the tire will start to roll up and bow out the tread, making it not as effective.. I would just stick w/ the 245s.. the 255s wont help that much anyways... fwiw i went a 2.0 60' on a 225..
