What is the widest tire I could fit on a 10.5 inch rim? Could I even fit a 10.5 inch rim without body mods? What offset would be required?

I think the best thing you should do is stop by any tire store, such as Discount Tire and they should be able to tell ya for free, besides that I know that a 10 inch wide rim will fit but not sure about the offset. Tires should be safe for atleast a 285. I have 275's on my 9.5 inch rims with no probs. Good luck.

Go to tirerack.com they tell you the specs for each tire and its measured width on different rim widths the widest I've seen on a 10.5 is a 315/35.
the aspect ratio also is a factor because the more sidewall the more the tire can tuck back to the rim. I'm not sure if that makes sense writen but think about the way an offroad tire can be way wider than the rim and you'll get the picture.
anyway I couldn't tell you if it would fit a mkIII those were on a camaro

I doubt that Discount Tire would be able to tell you if something could fit. They would be able to tell you what is suppose to be on there.

Like Sport said, 275's on 9.5" rims fit easily. I would guess 295's on a 10.5" rim would fit, the only tricky part is the offset.
