Tire Problem...

maybe the 50 extra hp did it. pretty lame post with out a bigger list of mods or a build up or whatever.
not information. Please take pictures and videos of the car before we can determine why and how those tires starts smoking.. heee hee

i would say great job on the swap if i could see some pics of something. im sure you threw your blood, sweat, and money into and you should be proud. bake off all the tires you want. i will once my full rebuild is done this weekend. just provide more than what you did. that was nothing more than a "post whoring" move. so, show us some aweseome video of smoking tires, whippin donuts or whatever. im sure it will be cool.
We lack imgaination therefore we need visual stimulation.

OK, on a serious note I will try to put some pics up next week when I am back from work. Maybe in the build thread. Its in pieces again already as I decided to move my coil packs and use a GTE intake manifold.
For those with turbo dreams for their NA cars, it is worth using GTE electronics. I have had this car for 7 years, 4 of those it was a reliable daily driver, then I did the 1/2NA-T thing. It works but but the flapper AFM and fuel control is a pain to get right. I was always worried about detonation and BHG.
Now with the GTE electronics it starts, idles runs etc like it is supposed to. Straight away, no messing around. Much easier in the long run. I picked up all the electronics cheap off different forums over time so it is economical too if you are on a budget.
So last post without these all important pics:biglaugh: I promise.
All of this is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.
