I have decided to use a polymer resin epoxy to do my carbon fiber trim in my car because of light yellow tint it has. If you don't recommend using this epoxy please LMK. I also know that I should scuff the surface with a 60-80grit sand paper and then coat the part with the epoxy resin. Then I'll lay the CF sheet over the part and shape it to the contours of the part not stretching the CF. When that is done I'll press the CF with a brush to push out any air bubbles and then add another 2-3 coats of epoxy resin on top of the CF in thin layers. After about 24h when the resins is dry I'll sand the entire surface with 200 and 300 grit sand paper and get it clearcoated by a body shop. I heard I shouldn't use spray bomb clear. Please LMK if the techinique and resin I'm going to use is correct. I'd like to know ASAP so I can start on this soon, since it seems to be a very long process.
Thanks,
Dan
