ok just a quick question i recently got rid of a 91 dsm cause i kept breaking timming belts and i constantly had to rebuild the head after they broke cause of bent valves. what happens to our motors if and when the timming belt breaks. sorry for the dumb question i'm a rookie.:icon_conf

"Non-interference" motor...you break a timing belt and it does not damage your valves.

The 7M is a non interference motor. So if it goes, your valves and piston shouldnt be getting to know each other on a personal level. :biglaugh:

Just make sure it doesn't break around 6000rpm ;)
Theoretically, the valves and pistons *could* get acquainted then...

Welcome to the world of non-interference. You can stop chewing your fingernails off every time you drive.
