I'm setting the timing on my 7M-GTE. Crank pulley is at the "0" mark, cam pulleys point straight up installed on the center pin of the cam ends, timing belt is installed and tensioned.
When I install the CPS, does the cam lobe that you see through the oil filler hole have to be pointing straight up? Because mine is pointing to the left about ten degrees or so when the pulley are all aligned.
Do I have to turn the engine over, taking the crank pulley clockwise from the "0" mark until that cam lobe is pointing straight up in order to install the CPS?
