I knew i was gonna get the unscrew it answer lol. I did. I unscrewed 3 bolts and the one dome shaped nut in the middle. I can move it around but i cant get it past the upper rad hose. I'd take it off but theres still the thing that it attaches to in the way. Ill post a pic in a few mins of what im talking about.

The hose clamp? If the hose is in the way, you'll have to unclamp that particular hoseclamp, then proceed to remove the hose itself from that thermostat housing, while being careful of any coolant that comes out.
I still don't know what you're trying to do here tho.

That things thats under the hose. I'm trying to get the timing cover off. Then when I try, the alternator and thermostat housing is in the way. I was wondering if there was an easier way to get it off.

For everyone's clarity, we're talking about that big plastic cover with the 7MGE sticker on it yes? If so, remove the 5 bolts as shown on the site I posted on page 1. My god this is ludacrus!

I know just what you're talking about...I tried removing it to see if it would give me more room for when I was doing something to my belt...I took the same 3 bolts off you did, and the center one and it only moved around, once i realized it wasn't important enough i just figured it wasnt worth it(not a very motivated day for me) but I think I remember finding two more caps on the bottom that need to come off...then the upper rad hose needs to be taken off or have a friend pull it back you might be able to squeeze it out, also that plastic piece on the top, forget what it does, (holds in a vac line?) needs to be pushed back alittle, it hung over the cover slightly on mine

Yes this is what I'm talking about. And if it were only that easy. I have the temp housing and alternator in the way so it only moves back and forth. But seeing is how i might not be keeping the engine anyway, ill probably just cut it in half or something. I'll also be parting this engine out because i need to get some money for a 7M-GTE. So if anyone needs this cover, lmk by tomorrow because it will be in 2 pieces anytime after.....

I will with a buddy of mine to help out. He's what some would call a gear head. But before i put it in, i want to completely rebuild it. Along with boring it out, port and polish, new pistons, new rods, MHG, etc...
