timing belt info

as any one used this timing belt kit gtk0237 timing belt component kit its a goodyear gater belt i ordered it because my timing idler pulley is starting to seize up (its making a noise like a super charger and turning blue and i got little flakes of metal on the timing belt) but when i got this goodyear kit the pulley it came with is plastic i dont know if i should trusts it ,so have any of yous used this and do you think i can trust it to last

Rock auto prolly has a gates for around 10$

Wouldn't use a plastic pulley either.

If the actual pulley and mount on your old one are still good, you can just replace the bearing itself.
They're like $4 for a good one.

i thought about just changing the bearing but this is my dd and i only get one day a week off (sunday) so if i bone it up trying to change it i will not have a ride to work
