timing and boost spike

first off, i logged some timing and i'm seeing around 20 degrees of advance with about 23psi on my 67mm turbo. this is with mannipulating the AFM signal to raise FC. is this a good timing mark... i really have no idea..



also i keep getting a 2-3 psi boost spike and it's pissing me off. running the joe p MBC and i'm runinng out of options... how do i get rid of this, or what are some of the things i need to check.

btw.. i have 114 in the tank with those reported timing marks... i'm going to log more..

also seeing around 11 degrees at idle and between 25-45 during cruise.

Mike,

What about upgrading to the MAFT Pro boost control solenoid?

How is the meth working out for you? You never got me pics! :)

I'm no expert, but 20 degrees sounds very good. I thought it might be running 30 degrees advance. I guess with the 550cc injectors, theres not much AFM signal being removed.

Good luck with the boost spike. Internal wastegate and manual boost controller could both cause problems.

hey lane, methis working great. i just had some race gas i wanted to burn off. i got the boost solenoid and it's going in today..

i got the pics just need to upload them.. did oyu ever get a kit?

The kit order is in progress...I'm waiting to get my MAFT Pro up and running and use it for a while and then put in the meth to run higher boost levels.
