Hm, maybe that's because it was turbo charged. I remember Bishop raising the timing on his N/A but I don't know if it was effective or not.

Effective/noticeable? That's all I'm wondering.

Also, I've heard of people going up to 16...

It can make a difference in responsiveness and gain you a few HP. Push it too far and you'll knock like hell if you don't use high enough octane gas though. IIRC, someone was running ~25ºBTDC on a GE... I think it was on that *other* forum. Sounds crazy to me.

I run 14º and there is a difference. Not huge, but I can tell.

Edit: if I read the right things, then why do many say stay stock timing?

There are a few people I've heard who run 16 degrees at around 91-93 octane, and if this even raises MPG...I'm definitely doing this one :D
