Toyo Proxes R1-R's. You live in the right climate for them to be driven on twice a week.

I loved my Toyo Proxes 4's.

Ive got a set of those on some flat blacked saw blades. Great in the rain, treadwear rating of 320 (i think) so they wont wear out to fast either. Most definatly a very versitile performance tire. Given the location, Id venture to say the T1-R would be a suitable choice, seeing as how California probably doesnt get as much rain as, say the North West for instance. Even the T1-R's are good in wet conditions. 280 treadwear. AA traction and AA temp.

One downfall to the R1-R's I mentioned is the 140 treadwear. But they are stickey as fuck, even in the rain they grip very well at 15 psi.

Really, what it comes down to is we need more information.

What's more important to you:
- Tire longevity
- Dry or wet performance
- straight line traction
- cornering traction
- how much power are you trying to stick to the asphalt?

Dunlop Direzza Star Spec's are all the rage in the BMW community. They're a fantastic tire for what they cost, keeping up with many higher priced tires in auto-x, while performing great on the street, especially in the rain, but have serious dry grip as well.

What are these worth Daryl? AND, do they have a DR coming out soon, or did you check on that yet?

I like them just by reading the review!

I trust my life regularly to my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. Their wet traction is very very good.

I'll vouch for these as well, only problem being they don't come in a wide enough footprint for the rear. :(
