On friday night I finnaly recieved my new 255lph walbro and replaced my dead stocker. I was lucky to have it done in time for the drags. On saturday september 6 street drags were held up at thunder mountain in Kelowna, British Columbia. 1/8 mile track only which was too bad .

This was my first time EVER! on the drag strip. I drove my 1987 Supra with 7MGTE. I had an awesome time doing runs up there. I am almost completely stock running a MBC at 10-11 psi, 3" cone filter + adaptor, and an open down pipe. I spent a hole of $10 on
performance upgrades on my ride. I was running 225/45ZR17 Avon tires.

There was alot of fast cars up there from twin turbo buick regals(i think?), WRX STi's, Ford Supersnake, big HP diesels, blown chevys, ect..

My first video is me up against a WRX STi. Me having some traction problems and a slower reaction up me at a 10.7 for this run.

2nd video is me up with a buick regal (not the turbo) I was starting to figure out the track at this time. airing my rear tires from 30 to 28psi and warming the tires nicely. It was really sticky and didnt rev enough this run so i bogged off the line.

3rd video. up with an oldsmobile. By this time I got the track figure out, right amount of warming the tires with a 4000rpm launch. I took the win with a 10.26.

What was too bad was that my camera buddies missed filming my best run of the night :(:(. I ran a 10.003 at 69.26 MPH. With a reaction time of 0.662 and a perfect launch. this was an awesome run. Heres my time slip. The names on the slips were all messed up so it just went by the car #.

With running the 10.003 I landed first in the 6 cylinder import class and i got a trophy! :D

For next time dont do a huge burnout, just enough to clean them off. Street tires dont work as well when they have that much heat in them.

+1 doing huge burnouts on street tires just makes them worse.

good stuff tho car sounds great!

I agree on the big burnout on street tires make them slimy. It was wierd though in earlier runs i was just doing little burnouts to clean the tires, but had bad traction off the line. I started to burn for longer and I gained ALOT more traction. No more wheel spin in 1st after long burnt out. Im running Avon ZZR's for rubber. My guess was that they are a hard rubber (could exlpain the small amount of smoke)

Looking good, is your car an auto? Those trap speeds seem a little low for that amount of boost, you should be well into a 70+ MPH speed. I ran a 9.23 @ something like 73Mph with a dieing headgasket, and some really shitty 18in goodyear eagles.

Its a 5 speed. I believe I have some boost leaks somewhere in my intercooler piping haha. I need to replace almost every rubber line inside my engine bay. Everything has gone hard and brittle.

9.23 @ 73mph? Your mph seem way low to me for that et. I usually run about 83mph with a low nine second run. I ran a 8.24 @ 87.7 mph a while back. I haven't been in a while, but it seems you should be running closer to low 80's for your mph.

Ok well here it is, i dont want to take over this thread, but i cant find the picture of my timeslip, its in the video though. Keep in mind this was my first time to the track in like 8 months and the first time ever with the supra.
