i'm not sure what is wrong with the throttle cable...

but its sure not safe to drive my car around right now because of it...

when I step on the damn accelerator/gas pedal and let go... its still clogged.. im think the spring is loose so it doesnt wanna pull back all the way or either the cable needs tightenin...

but yea,... the normal revving is around 500 RPMs at a full stop... but wen i drive and the cable gets "clogged" i revvs around 2000 RPMs at a full stop... so i gotta pop the hood and push the throttle cable spring thingy back and it revvs down to normal again... and wen i drive again it happens again

i tried tightenin the cable but nothin... so im not quite sure wats wrong...

just give me some advice on wat to do... thanks

Well, the spring's a good place to start. Also make sure the pedal isn't getting caught on anything: carpet, floormats, wiring. Also check the steel cable for any signs of fraying, most commonly this occurs where it enters the sheath near the pedal assembly and the TB linkage.

If all that checks out you could try disconnecting the cable in the engine compartment, hold it up and pour some thin motor oil down the cable so it enters the sheath. Sometimes it'll make a ton of difference.
