With the valve springs, did you use the stock retainers and locketts?
Has anyone here been able to find out if one of the V8's ( just like the comp cams springs from the v8) are able to fit the stock valve stems/lockets/retainers???
Me and a friend were going to mic' a valve and look at the demensions of a stock retainer this week. But I was wondering if anyone has beat me to it?:biglaugh:
The main reason is that I dont feel like going with a Aluminum/Magnesium Ferrera retainer ( dont want titanium from them...$400 is a rip off!).
I would rather have a cromoly retainer ( stock retainers are stamped steel?).
Hence the reason for the quarry. I need to find one. I probably will to.
Since the Ti retainers for V8's are HALF the price of ours (7m).
any help is GREATLY appreciated.
